The Oleodinamica Marchesini product range includes different types of valves, manufactured to be considered as standard items and they are not produced specifically as component designed to carry out safety functions. For this reason they are excluded from the domain of the ECC European Directive 2006/46/CE because any examples in attachment V of Machinery Directive could be apply (the valve cannot be considered as a logical block) and nor paragraph 5 an 8 of attachment V could not be applied, as the valve is not equipped with any kind of auxiliaries implement for damages bearing.

The valve housing is normally manufactured in steel (9SMn- Pb30 o 37) protected by external anticorrosion zinc coating treatment or burnished. The valves in manifolds have the ports for the connection into the hydraulic circuit. The ports are normally BSPP types, be- tween 1/4” to 2” size. Other ports are available upon request (metric, NPT or specific flangeable version).

Lubricate the cartridge seals before assembling, insert the cartridge manually and screw it until the operator feel the seals resistance. Lock the cartridge with a torque wrench and set the valve on the test ring.


It must have physical lubricating and chemical properties suitable for use in hydraulic systems such as, for example: Mineral oil fluids HL (DIN 51524 part 1) Mineral oil fluids HLP (DIN 51524 part 2) Viscosity class: with ISO-DIN, the viscosity class is expressed by ISO-VG number; the number indicates the average kinematic viscosity at 40°C in mm2/s or centiStoks (cSt).


It’s well established that fluid contamination is the most likely cause of malfunction or failure in hydraulic systems and reduces security and reliability of components and systems. Metal particles flowing throughout the circuit scratch moving surface so that contamination level , if not controlled, increases very rapidly.


The components produced by Oleodinamica Marchesini Srl are sealed by washers or metal, plastic or elastomeric seals located on ledges or special seats. No sealants or sealing materials should therefore be added on the threads.

Store the new valves with their own protection systems supplied (plastic caps or shrink wrap), far from the direct sun light or source of heat or ozone and kept in a dry place at a temperature between -20°C and +50°C:
